Your First Visit
At Orland Park Orthodontics, we strive to make your first visit a memorable and comfortable experience! From the moment you arrive, our Treatment Coordinator will warmly welcome you and guide you through the entire appointment. You’ll receive a tour of our beautiful practice, where you might even meet some of our friendly team members. Afterward, you’ll be escorted to our new patient room to discuss your concerns and begin the records process.
The records process includes taking photos of your face and teeth. These are essential for Dr. Ayas Makki to make an accurate diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan based on your unique needs.
Next, we’ll dive deeper into your main concerns and review your medical history. To save time, you can conveniently fill out the Medical History Form at home by downloading it below.
Once Dr. Makki joins, he will conduct a clinical exam, review your records, and discuss the diagnosis and potential treatment options with you. We wrap up the appointment by covering financial details and answering any remaining questions you might have.
Our goal is for you to feel confident and comfortable with Dr. Makki and the team by the end of your visit. We want you to have a clear understanding of your orthodontic needs, the treatment options available, and the payment plans offered. Orthodontic treatment is an investment, and we’re here to ensure you feel secure in your decision to work with us.
What happens after the initial consultation?
During your initial consultation at Orland Park Orthodontics, you may have the exciting opportunity to start your treatment that very same day! If you decide to proceed, we’ll schedule your next appointment right then and there. At this follow-up appointment, Dr. Makki will place your new braces, and you’ll be on your way to achieving your new, beautiful smile!
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups.
If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible
